Bachman Community Garden
Interested in trying your hand at gardening but don't have the space? Or maybe your property doesn't have the right amount of sun to grow the tomatoes or lettuce you want. Bachman has plots available for local gardeners to grow vegetables, herbs, and more!
Currently, we have 27 full size (3.5' x 25') plots and 3 half size (3.5' x 15') plots, all of which receive full sun from the late morning through the afternoon. Bachman provides water, mulch, a compost area and a locked storage shed for your gardening tools.
The hours for the community garden are dawn to dusk beginning in early spring. The gardener is responsible for planting and maintaining his/her own bed and agrees to attend one gardening workshop, one winter meeting and the fall clean-up day. The bed rentals are $30 for a full bed and $15 for a half bed. There is also a child's plot on site and plenty of shaded seating.
