Calling all girls who love American Girl dolls and want to learn about five BeForever time periods through interactive games, crafts, drama, dance, and other creative interpretation! Prior to camp, the girls will vote on the five BeForever dolls they wish to investigate and learn about their historical time periods and cultures. This camp is open to rising 1st through 5th grade campers. I am also looking for rising 6th grade campers who would like to attend camp for free and wish to help lead as a Junior Assistant American Girl expert! Half-day campers will enjoy learning about the five time periods from 9:00-12:00 and will need to bring a snack and drink daily. Full-day campers will enjoy the morning session followed by free play time with their friends and dolls from 12:00-1:00 and will need to bring a snack, drink, and lunch daily. Afternoons for full-day campers will be spent with enhancement activities. Girls will invent the next BeForever doll, including designing her clothing, pet, and mini book according to the time period chosen by the group. They will also create an interpretive dance/play/skit about the dolls we study each day so that the girls can showcase what they have learned for families on the final day of camp at 4:00! Cost for half-day campers is $105, and cost for full-day campers if $215 which includes all camp supplies needed. Refer a new camper friend for half-day and pay $95 or full-day camper friend and pay $195! Jennifer McGann is the camp instructor and has led this camp for the last 4 years. She is a veteran teacher of 20 years and teaches 6th grade social studies at Signal Mountain Middle High School.
