Bachman Summer Day Camps for Kids

Where can you send your kids for exciting summer activities - on the mountain? Bachman's special interest day camps offer lots of fun and games for elementary school students. (Shhh! Don't tell them it's educational, too!)

Registration begins on a walk-up basis at Bachman on April 4th. After that date, register in person or by mail.

 


  • Camps are $65/week per camper, including all supplies.
  • AM session camps run from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
  • PM session camps run from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.


Exploring the World of Peter Rabbit

Along with Nolan's Kelly Cook, campers will listen to classic stories each day, engaging in enrichment activities that promote vocabulary development, story comprehension, and creativity. A unique camp exploring the world of Beatrix Potter!

June 6 - June 10 ⎢ AM Session ⎢ Rising 2nd-3rd Graders


Lego Camp

Teacher Michelle Bailey helps kids explore the world of Legos. During this fun filled week, campers will build, measure, and design Lego projects with plenty of hands-on fun using their imagination!

June 13 - June 17 ⎢ AM Session ⎢ Rising 1st-4th Graders

 

Earth Camp

Have fun going green with Corinne Giagnorio, Nancy Caldwell, and Eva Conwell. Create recycled art, explore the outdoors, and work on conservation projects, all while learning how to care for our planet.

June 20 - June 24 ⎢ AM Session ⎢ Rising 3rd-6th Graders

 

Intermediate Cooking

Thrasher's Amy Garvich takes young chefs to the next level as they complete meals together - from appetizers to desserts - while drafting a cookbook along the way. The final day will include a sit-down, four course dinner!

June 20 - June 24 ⎢ PM Session ⎢ Rising 5th-7th Graders

 

Ceramics Camp

It's back! Lynnsey Apelhans of River City Pottery offers clay, wheel work, and ceramic painting. Campers create multiple projects to share with family and friends.

June 27 - July 1 ⎢ AM Session ⎢ Rising 1st-5th Graders

 

American Girl Camp

Led by Jenni Smith, camps share customs, games, and stories from history as they explore the world of American Girls. Sign up early for this favorite! The hours for this camp will be 1:00pm to 4:30pm.

July 5 - July 8 ⎢ PM Session ⎢ Rising 4th-6th Graders

 

Camp "Groovy"

Where everything old is new again! Mardi Leonard offers this exciting week of retro art projects, crafts, and food. A fun week recreating things like Mom and Dad may have made in the '60s and '70s!

July 11 - July 15 ⎢ AM Session ⎢ Rising 2nd-6th Graders

 

Sports Camp

Alongside Nolan's John Shumate, kids learn different games and sports in Bachman's big back yard.  Playground games as well as team sports will give every child new skills as well as great exercise.

July 18 - July 22 ⎢ AM Session ⎢ Rising 1st-5th Graders

 

Cooking Camp

Thrasher's Heidi Griswold returns to teach one of Bachman's most popular camps. Kids not only learn to love cooking and to feel "at home" in their kitchen, but also learn some writing and basic kitchen math. Campers create their own cookbook and take home treats to share.
